I have always loved to paint and draw.

I’ll use whatever is at hand, a large canvas with good paint and brushes, or a scrap of paper with a dried up sharpie.

I’m often looking at and thinking about art, design, drawing and painting.

For me, an idea to draw or paint can begin from anywhere. A painting, a line from a song, novel or movie, a cartoon, a bike ride, a witty remark, an observation, an apple.

Then, if everything works out, sometimes, something is created that evokes a response.

“Shut Up and Paint!” is more than an artist’s statement. It was the title of an exhibition at the Secret Handshake Gallery, (reviewed by Raymond Helkio here).
